Membership

Joining BCLCIRA benefits individuals in professional development in the field of literacy. All members of a local IRA Council in B.C. are automatically members of BCLCIRA. To become a member of BCLCIRA, sign up at the International Reading Association website and then attend your local council meetings.

Members can:

• attend and contribute at conferences, workshops, and meetings
• collaborate with other professionals to explore research in reading and writing
• get assistance in the submission of articles to professional journals
• obtain opportunities for networking with friends and colleagues
• receive reduced rates at workshops and conferences
• obtain information on global literacy
• participate in leadership training
• access literacy outreach projects
